I currently bought a new tank and I want to transfer everything from that tank to a new tank plus put in new DEAD rocks (not live rocks) that I had kept from my old tank in a bucket for over a year. Can I put in the saltwater from my current tank plus a small rock and the dead rocks with new live sand? Will that start a new cycle?
Or should I use the sand that is in my tank plus new sand and dump all the current live rocks in first before I put the dead rocks in?
