A question for the Moray Gurus

I have a rather large brazilian moray that at 28" or so inches that has a small head. I have been told that the brazilians are not fish eaters any way but i am wondering what size fish i need to purchase. Though most morays do not eat fish they cant swallow, i am assuming they will attack them. I am trying to decide what size would be safe? Thanks, Blizz

Fish eaters, such as my Whitemouth and Hawaiian Dragon will attack fish that are too large to be eaten. They'll attack and rip off chunks of flesh.
Brazilian Dragons, such as yours are invert eaters (squid, octo, shrimp, crabs, etc).
At 28", IMO, any fish that's 5" of larger should be just fine. Fish such as Damsels, Anthias, juvenile larger fish, etc. possibly could be at risk.

alright, thank you for the quick response, i dont have to be worried about any fish such as angels or groupers attacking the eel do I?

Not in my opinion, no...you might have to worry about large Angels and Groupers actually picking on the Moray.

i think i got lucky in the fact i added my moray last.. my tangs would slap him in the face with their tails since he took over the WHOLE rock section where they "used" to hang out.. this went on for about a week then they all justgot over it and realized he is a big baby,, thank god he didnt bite them or anythign while this went on, but i think since he was the Newb in the tank he just kind of new his role..
i think its awesome how passive the brazlialians could actually be

IMHO its going to depend soly on your eels temperment as with my eels mainly my jeweled hes agressive toward larger fish and will nip at them during feeding frenzies but lives peacefully with banjai cardenals which they are are small enough to get eaten .but he doesnt seam to even care if they are around him or not.now my tess on the other hand has cleared out 4 angel tanks in the past(before i purchased him) but yet coexcists with damsles peacefully in fact my sgt major cleans eds teeth.. my black moray doesnt care whats in his tank he looks like a crustation eater and wont eat crustations its fish or nothing for him i see this one once a month if im lucky for feeding .my yellow barred eats fish and crustations ..course i have weird eels my jeweled and barred will even eat freeze dried krill (i use this a s a treat)
