i was wondering if anybody has noticed a differance of there corals, color, size, and growth rate, in different temperatures. i think my temp is 78 and i have good grows but everything seems to be slow. what do u think would happen if i put it up to like 80-82 degrees?
thanks
daniel

It would all depend on what ocean the corals came from .... some need warmer temps to thrive and others need cooler temps. Researching first is the best advice I could give you.

i found a thermometer last night and my tank was at 75 degrees
but i set my heater to 80 and this mornin every thing came out within minutes, and the colors seem to be a little brighter

I used to keep my tank at like 80-81 dan and i didnt have that much success...but never had any algea problems...and now i have it at 78 and my corals do well (except zoo's lol)...but my algea is prominent.

Don't rely on the "thermostat" on heaters. More than often they aren't accurate. For example, my heater is set to 72 degrees but it keeps the tank at a stable 81 degrees. You need to look at the thermometer and adjust the heater according to that.
