I was feeding my porcupine puffer named "Spot" just the other day. Krill was on the menu and he was very hungry to say the least. As the food rained down he quickly gobbled up as much as he could acting like its going to be his last meal when he noticed a piece of krill sinking into a large hole in the rock just below him. Like a flash he darted toward it plunging his head into the hole to retrieve the much desired meal. At this point he realized he had a problem. The only way out of the hole was to back out of it since the other end faced the bottom of the tank. He struggled for a bit as his owner freaked out from the other side of the glass. Amazingly as if he knew there was no simple solution to the problem he gave up and sat still with butt up in the air stuck in the hole until his owner laughing at him lifted the rock and he swam out to saftey. I don't know if he ever retrieved the piece of krill or not but needless to say the hole has now been covered and hopefully a lesson was learned. Don't put your fat body where it doesn't fit.
