Giesemann Midday

Umm I think so ... lol
Not a dumb question if you don't know and order something wrong. I get very technical in thinking -- 36" bulbs should be EXACTLY 36" in my mind.. but they are MADE to FIT a 36 inch fixture... so yeah you should be just fine :)

The only reason I ask is because the fixture itself is a little under 37'' so they are selling this unit as a 36'' unit.
The bulbs are shorter then 36''

Is there any recommended bulbs for it by the manufacturer? But yeah you're still fine as they don't sell incremented bulbs every 1/2" or so... but I TOTALLY understand your thinking in this.

I think I am ok cause the manufactured bulbs are listed as 39watt and that is the wattage of my 36'' bulbs I have listed except for the UV one its a 95 watt.
Is it ok to put a 95 watt bulb into a unit like this? Should I call the manufacturer? (there would only be one bulb in the middle and it has 2 cooling fans

Changing wattage I'm unsure of -- I would recommend contacting the manufacturer on that. Better safe than sorry :)

Well just incase someone stops by this thread this is what I found out
To: Current-USA Distributors & Dealers
Subject: Compact Fluorescent Lamp Compatibility
Dear Distributor,
As you may already know there is quite a range of aftermarket replacement lamps for Current-USA, Inc. lighting fixtures. Current has not performed compatibility tests on any of these aftermarket lamps and as a result cannot be responsible for warranty of our fixtures unless used with our SunPaq brand of certified lamps.
Recently UVL has introduced a replacement lamp that is not compatible with the sockets in our fixtures and may present a safety issue.
Current-USA discourages the use of these lamps in any of our products due to the potential risk it presents. Although we regret having to impose this policy, we feel it is in the best interest of the consumer as well as our customers.
Thank you for your support and cooperation.
Sincerely,
Current-USA

Hey Jackri I went with the Aqua Science Special 15000 K 39 watt 36" T5 lamp instead of that scarry 95 watt one. I think as long as I keep them in the 39 watt range as the originals were I can make the spectrum higher. At least thats what I am thinking.
I just hope that one bright bulb in the middle is not going to burn anyone since its only a 46 gallon but with all the other blues in there I think it will even it out and soften it a bit.
Here is another thing that I did not do my homework on. I am having to spend another $100 just on bulbs when the fixture should have come with quality bulbs to begin with.
NEWBIES DO YOUR HOMEWORK!!!!!!!
