aaahhhhh my stealth pro heater just blew up!!!!!!! help

Earlier this evening my husband and I noticed a noxious odour permeating the house. We searched extensively until we found the culprit. It turned out to be eminating from the sump in a fifty gallon grow out set up. The heater had shattered into a hundred pieces and left a horrible odour through out the house! So far the baby clowns (ranging from one to three months) seem okay but am really worrried for them as well as us. Does anyone know the effects of this odour? I tried to contact the company but it is eleven at night and no one is answering. I can't find any way to contact them via email Any help would be appreciated!!

do a quick google search and you will find you're not alone. i'm surprised you have not received notice of the recall for these heaters.
i dont know about the odor, but i do know that the heater contains heavy metals that will be kill the inverts in your tank. the clowns maybe ok, but i would trasnfer them into a new set up.

I googled the heater and yep, lots of complaints. I removed all the fish from the tank, drained all the water, refilled the system with fresh water and am in the proccess of setting up a carbon reactor to purify the water. After a few days I will bring up the salinity and hopefully it will be ready to go again.

-I took my heaters back for a refund and the lady was quite helpful, but she is not taking the other heaters off of the shelves, in fact she admitted to wondering when I was going to have problems since quite a few customers had returned theirs. I was lucky, my heater didn't blow out my tank or electricute my fish but she has my number, I don't know why she didn't call me to warn me.
