I have been fighting a bubble algae problem for the last few months! While it is not out of control, it still annoys me to look at the sight of it all over my tank. So tonight I thought that I would remove most of it by taking a few rocks out of my tank while doing a water change. Well Sure enough THE ROCKS WOULD NOT GO BACK THE SAME WAY THAT I FOUND THEM! So I just spent the last 2 hours trying to make them look like they did before. My corals are out of place from where I had them as well. Sometimes this hobby can be a pain in the A**!!

I feel you! I vowed never to "adjust" my reef rockwork ever again. You can never get it back quite like you had it, huh? I learned a few days ago that the bid I placed on a new home was accepted, and that I would be moving. I love the new house, but seriously considered backing out ot it whe I thought about having to completely tear down my tank and move it. Good luck to you!

Get a bigger tank, now, perfect excuse, bigger tank, more rock, great reason to rearrange anyhow. Just trying to brighten it up for you and point out that this would be a good tiem to do so.

hahaha! when I'm "rearranging", my fiancee leaves the room....I run out of swear words and start making new ones up when rocks fall on things, or a coral that stings tumbles down past other corals.........not fun at all. :)

I love rearranging rocks once in awhile. Of course I experience the same thing you guys do, but after SEVERAL long hours I normally like the end result. I get bored easily. I think my tank has gone through SEVERAL rock arrangements :D .
