i saw in a post while reading, that feeding fw fish to my marine fish was a bad idea. can someone explain this to me. i kept a trigger and snowflake eel for over 4 years and all that i feed them was goldfish. the trigger would get some brine shrimp every now and then. i never had any trouble out of my tank. it was a 55gal fish only tank with also a few tangs and angles. im not saying anyone is wrong but just wanted to hear what others thought on this. just food for thought.

Feeding live FW fish to SW fish isnt a good idea... it just wont cut it when it comes to the right vitamins, also FW have differant oils and fats, and thats not good for the SW fish. I mean, you CAN feed them FW feeders, but its just not as good for them as the many various frozen diets. Why would you not wanna give your fish the BEST diet for their health? I bet frozen food would be alot cheaper than live FW feeders anyways. It alright to give them FW feeders every now and then... just not all the time(like once a week or so). :D :D

they lack the neccesssary nutrients, and can cause intestinal or liver problems over time(because of htis), now this is not an every time thing, kinda like alcohol some do ok drinkeing every day of their lives in heavy amounts, but most often we don't
i am not an ala-whatever supporter, jsut an example that i was able to think of
