about lighting for a tank?

i have a 55gal tank with a hood an dlight but just have reg fish lights i think i seen some people in here askinga bout M/H whats that and what do you recomnd for my light? i woul dlike to have nice colored fish with some coral i also havelive rock in therealso.

Fish are fine with any kind of light. For corals it all depends on what kind you want keep. M/h = Metal halide. Its what many people use for sps type corals, and infact its just about required for them. What kind of corals do you like? specific names would help in determining what kind of light systme you would need.
