About Mushrooms

Today I just got my 1st set of mushrooms

, Their either Green or Chocolate mushrooms. Two of the Polyp heads seem to be excreting a white stringy substance from the middle of the head. Do Mushrooms expel waste or are those its insides or is it shedding or something?

ah thanks, yea the stuff is gone already. I also found a tiny serpent star underneath one of the polyps! I hope he makes it.
