About my purple N yellow Tang

o.k. lastnight i came home from work and i notcied my tang was swimming straight up well sitting there straight up on his back tail he was breathing very fast he would swim a few sec then do it again he had a color fade near his back tail it was turning white on both sides just a little spot though not spots then right before he died he had some brown spots forming under his gills can someone help me out with what happen to my fish b/c i don't want to advance building my 175 gallon tank with out more knowledge

Could be anything. Water quality, etc., How long did you have the fish? Had he been sick?
Do you have any good hobby books? That is the best way to advance your knowledge in this hobby.

o.k. i only had the fish for about 2 weeks or even less but not im new to this and i was wondering what caused the fish's death thankz my water was all right
