? about refugiums

I built a 30 gal. refugium, i can't decide what to use in it, live sand- miracle mud- mineral mud or something else?

You really can't go wrong with either of them. Just make sure its a deep bed of atleast 6" to do its job to the fullest.

You can do a 50/50 mix like I did I split the fuge down the middle with mud on one side sand on the other then put about an inch of sand over the top of the half with the mud kinda looks like the inside of an interesting birthday cake lol but seems to work well for me
