about to buy light!!

this week-end i am going to buy new lightfor my 77 gal tank (reef).Iam pretty set up on the nova extreme pro (48 inch 6x)but before i go,i would like to know how much more would it cost me for MH.Would it make alot of diference as for what i can keep.

I would never give up my mh but I am unfamiliar with t5's

there is a 48" mh in classifieds for 500 awsome light

2 250 mh on lumen bright or lumenarc reflectors with any decent ballast would be better but you would be in the 500 to 700 price range without shipping. i wouldnt go for a mh that has the small reflectors like the coralife fixtures or anything in the size range. the sunpods with the slightly larger reflecors would be about the same as your pro.

The Pro is a decent fixture. If you replaced the bulbs with a better brand you shouldn't have any problems.

so finaly made a choice and bough the nova extreme pro fixtur,but instead of buying the one with 6 bulb i bought the one with 8x 54 watt (inch).And for skimmer i bought the octopus 100!So time will tell.....tanks guys for all the response about the light and skimer!!
