Hows it going guys?
New poster here, about to buy a new tank for myself. Before buying, I just did some research and stumbled upon this site, why not ask you guys for some advice before I make my move.
Well, I never had a saltwater tank before but did have freshwater for quite some time. I am really really interested in Red Sea Max 250 because it already has everything in it, I would not have to part everything together and I like the aesthetics as well. I know its expensive but I like it, do you guys think it will be a good setup for a beginner? Anything other out there in the same price range? I want to have a coral reef and fish setup so will the size(65) be adequate for me? Maybe too much questions but please share some advice. Thanks in advance guys and I will keep you guys updated. Glad to be a new member!

Welcome to the forums!
Personally, I would go with a customized aquarium. A Red Sea max is cool, but it doesn't really allow you to install your own advanced equipment. If you want a reef tank, you will need the ability to upgrade and control your equipment according to your tanks needs. For the price of a Red Sea Max, you could get better equipment then what they sell.
Check out my threads for beginners, you may find quite a bit of useful information before you start.

First off Welcome

Looks like a nice starter system.
Just a few thing to think about:
1. Size, Limits you to small fish
2. Restricted to the amount of bio filtration
3. Pump check out from others if another manufacture pump can fit in compartment (in case the pump manufacture goes out of business)
4. 5 outlets are they for addition power heads or for the equipment that comes with set up (question you need to find out)
5. Ask other owners of this system how they like it.
6. ask other owners or company if you can replace ballast (if light goes out top is then useless)
7. + 6 T5's are good for any type corals you may want to keep (when you replace bulbs choose a better brand then they shipped plenty out there)
Good Luck keep asking questions.
