Bought the voucher from groupon for the divers certification.
Might as well to take advantage of the oceans that's surrounding me lol.
If anyone in Florida want to do it together please pm me. :)
169 for everything is a STEAL.

Is that for a PADI Open Water cert?? Include any gear? I've been Advanced Open Water and Wreck certified for about 15 years. Don't get to dive all that often anymore, but it's a fantastic hobby. Just be prepared... You thought salt tanks are expensive?!?

yes, it's padi certified and includes everything except weights, flippers and goggles.
yea, I just want to get into it because I can catch my own inverts and fish and soft corals ;)
Also there are so many reserves here that I can go and look and what better way to do it then to dive with full tank?
I'm slowly getting over the phobia of JAWS of the 80s lol.

Have fun! Expect to spend about $150 - $200 on a good mask/snorkel and fins. You really shouldn't need to buy any weights yet. Most shops let you use their bc, weights, regulators and tanks as part of the course.

LOL...I still hate to go swimming in the ocean. I'm not sure if you would be allowed to harvest the corals and certain fish, so be sure to check before you try to get your own. Being able to dive and see the reef first hand...now that's cool.

Hows this for getting in touch with nature, this was taken at 6 in the morning less than 5 feet from me.
A good morning indeed. A Dophin popping out to say heya.

A baby hammerhead shark that actually swam up between my ankles.

yip.....he was feeding and got caught up in the current. Cute lil bugar.

A good day to be.........when you take a swim in the ocean.

Keith, I don't know how I missed your pics! Wow must be awesome..
This Friday is my son's 1 yr passing day and both me and wife got the day off to drive down to where his ashes were spread. It's a beautiful island in the keys where dolphins swim around like your pictures... I hope to see them there so that I know that he would be happy where his body is laid.. (I know that his spirit is.. with being God and all..)
Flower- I bought my wife a underwater digital camera. :)
1guy- I never looked for the U.S. law but Florida state law because it will directly affect me. (I won't try to harvest from other states any ways... no way that I can bring it back home in one piece..)
