i wouldnt necessarily think your old 30g refugium is to small, though i would worry if the power went out if it has enough room in it for the overflow of water from your DT? also,, if the old pump wasnt good enough for the smaller tank, i would say YEAH tou need a new one,, or 2 possibly.

Hey Trig ! I would like to get a bigger refugium, but I don't think it will be able to fit, because I only have one opening in the front of the tank. And the 30 gallon, barely fit in.You say two pumps, how is that possible-? Also what size pump do you recommend I should get for the 220-? Thanks !

I would say get the biggest refugium you can under there. The 220 is going to be great for you.
As for the return pump, I would invest in a Reeflo Barracuda. That sucker will push enough water for a 300.

I might go with a 40 gallon breeder tank, it should fit for the refugium

can you take a pic of your stand?? are you able to get to the back of it? sometimes you can remove the center piece? You could always use a clear plastic tupperwarelike container? I have 2x 1000 gph submersible pumps going to my 150g but i replumbed it, since it has 3 returns and 2 drains.
