Acan and waterflow. Video

Is my Acan Lord getting too much flow? You can kinda see it move up when it gets a blast of flow. Would this flow be considered low to medium or medium to high? I'm still a little uncertain about water flow and corals.

I would say its moderate, but then again, to me flow is black magic. See how he responds, give it few days. I could see it being annoying to it 24/7, but who knows. I have 3 acans, they are all blasted by powerheads, and they seem to be doing ok. But then again, the powerheads are blowing from the top, so its not being waved around like your is. Thing, you acan looks very different than mine. My acans are more encrusting, and I don't have individual heads so seperated like your is. Feed it some mysis, it will love you.

See, I wasn't so sure it was an Acan...but I have posted pictures of it on here before and was reassured that it was an acan.

It is an acan, i am almost 100% certain, but regarding the flow, I am not sure how it would effect it, because it looks so different than mine. But as long as it opens up, I would not worry about it. I must say, wave makers are great, I am sure you could find an in expensive one.

I would say perfect flow

. Looks nice and random, just like the ocean. As long as none of the powerheads are directly blowing onto the coral, should be good to go.

Its an LPS therefor if it is fully open its happy, they will retract with too much flow. You actually want alternating flow in your tank with various strengths this simulates the ocean at its best. Wavemakers exzibit this best. That flow would be considered moderate im my opinion but like others, I don't think anyone can tell you exactly how much flow is right.
