Will two separate acan colonies fight. Im sure you will need more info but not really sure what.
Temperament: Acanthastrea Lordhowensis are a more aggressive species. They may be kept close to other Acanthastrea Lordhowensis, but give plenty of room to other corals.
Just looking for others experiences because I lost a colony and have no other answers. All the others are doing good in a wide range of different light, flow.

I have an "acan garden" where they literally touch one another without any issues what-so-ever. There's also a blue lobo touching them and that is fine as well. I've kept frogspawn right next to them, etc. No issues.
It's hard to see in this picture, because it was shot first thing in the morning. During the day, these acans swell and fill the entire surface of the rock underneath them, touching each other and the corals around them:

I receive 6 peices at the same time and lost one the very first night. These to where the only ones next to each other so that was my first thought. Almost all of the tissue was gone the next morning 5"X4" peice
Maybe the iodine dip was to much, 5 min.

It could have been the iodine dip.
The other thing is that acans do not like changes in alkalinity, so if yours was different from that tank they came from, that may have played a role as well. The iodine and dKH together may have killed it.

hmm never knew that they were so sensitive. Im going there tonight :)
