Acclimate Anemones

Why is it that anemones only need to acclemate to temperature? Are they not effected by change in salinity?
P.S. I know its a good idea to acclimate them like anything else. Just was just wondering why.

Who ever told you that?!?!?!?!
They certainly do need to acclimate to temp, SG, pH and everything else. A slow, gradual acclimation period is recommended for all inverts.....anemones included.

Even on this site, if you look under the bta anemone, it says temperature acclimate for the acclimation time.

I think the reason for that being said is because anemones tend to be intertidal, and adjust to many different levels of salinity, heck some anemones spend hours out of the water everyday in tide pools...that being said, if you want your anemone to have a smooth transition I would not just plop it in your tank.

Yeah, I acclimated mine like I would anything else. I was just curious about that cause it sounded a little strange to me.
