acclimating feather duster

So I bought a hawaiian feather duster today. They told me to acclimate it for about 4 hrs. So far I have been acclimating for almost 3, but my worry is that The temp in my bucket is colder than the water in my tank. I don't have a little heater for the bucket, truthfully I didn't even think about it being cold enough outside of the tank to be a problem. So my question is....how bad is this? Should I just put it in my tank so as not to make it too cold? Or continue to acclimate it for the full 4 hrs? Thanks sooo much for any speedy help!

What I usually do is float it in the bag and cut one small slit in the bag every 15 minutes until I have four slits. (bout 1 hr 15min ) at least this is the method I use for inverts and corals. Idensay put it in.

Okay, well he is in! There was a slight catastrophy...but I think all is well now. As I was trying to squinch him into the rocks my entire aquascape collapsed! So i spent almost an hr rebuilding. In the meantime My feather duster exploded tons of white stringy webby stuff that is now COVERING my tank.....please tell me this is nothing to worry about! I am stressing out! I feel bad because I am sure it is a sign that he is stressing out. I hate hate hate stressing out my new creatures! Anyway...here are some pictures of him...and all of the gizzy stuff he released.
