Achilles tendon?

Has anyone ever had his or her Achilles tendon “fixed”? I had mine done on Monday, and was just wondering if there are any suggestions out there besides live on the painkillers for as long as possible! I have never used crutches either. That has been a treat, along with this 6 pack cooler that is full of ice water that is strapped to my foot!!

broke mine the same time i broke about 9 other bones in my lower leg i just stretched it and did exercises 2-3 times daily to get my foot better
