Should I have my powerhead facing directly at my acropora? How strong of flow does it like to have?
Thanks in advance.

I have never pointed a PH directly at an acro, little next to it though... Straight at it seems a little rough to me. Do you have a wavemaker with the PH?

acro's love alot of light and alot of flow...IMO the key is an Ebb n Flow system of some sort,, where it gets hit with flow then it stop etc. etc ina cycle..such as a squidd or wavemaker

I have a MJ 600 in my 20 gallon that turns on and off every hour. And it is pointed towards my acro. Is this okay?

a 20X turnover rate in a 20 gallon tank is 400GPH. That is a LOT of flow, no need to point a ph directly at the acro. The purpose of a lot of flow is not so the corals "feels" anything, but rather that it gets access to more food particles and essential elements. That is why when you read that an acro needs a lot of flow, it doesn't mean the coral itself, but the entire tank. To keep acros, you should have a LOT of flow throughout your tank.
You have a 600, which is a 30X turnover rate. If that one powerhead can reach all parts of your aquarium, then you have high flow throughout, and the acro will suffice anywher in your tank (as far as flow goes). :happyfish

I agree with acrylic and PSUSocr1 on the issue. Lots of flow is definitely necessary, but long increments of direct flow can be detrimental.
