ok well i went to the fish store today and they had acro frags for 10 bucks each and i decided to pick one up. Since this is my first sps (all i have is softies right now) i was wondering if there is anthing that i need to do differnetly for it. I have mh lights and i add calcium reguraly. i was wondering if i was jsut wonering if i needed to do anything else for it.
Also it is on this like plastic screw thing. what is it and what sould i do with it?? should i jstu keep it on the frag or should i like take it off and try to attach it to a rock or summin???

and jsut some feather duster pic that i think turned out kinda cool

congrats...
it looks like a Milli to me, but im no expert.
i guess leave the plastic tube alone, just stick it between the rocks, this way it will be esier for the SPS frag to stay in one place [stability!
], it will outgrow the plastic and move on to the rocks adjecent to it.
make sure your calc is at a good level and do complete water testing to make sure everything is within range.
whats the wattage on you MH and how deep is your tank.
oh and make sure ALK is good too
i think trhats all i had to say
congrats again

keep it closer to the bottom for a week or so, till it gets used to your lights, then slowly move it up to the spot you want it to be on.
good luck, the addiction continues!!!!
