Can anyone give me some info on acropora? Whats their care level? Are all acropora species the same care level? Do they need to be spot fed? If so what do they eat? Any info would be great.

Metal Halides or T-5s are a must, some are easy to care for, some are very difficult. they need perfect water conditions, high calcium, and high alkinity.

What are some easy species? I wanted to get just the basic blue, purple, and green acros. I will have T5s. What levels should calcium and alk be at? Would the high calcium and alk cause bad conditions for any other corals, fish, or inverts?

calc you want around 420-440 ppm and alk around 10-13 dKH. This would be ideal for all corals.

i think the alk should be a lil lower like 8-10dkh anything over 11 IMO is a lil high
i keep all kinds of corals and acros i try to keep my parameters around 400-420 and around 8-9 on the alk
some easy beginner less demanding corals would be the Monitpora variety there are some nice branching, encrusting, and plating types out there with lots of color variations.... try some of these first see how they react then u can try more demanding Acros later
