I have a 10g nano with a 20g sump/refug. The lighting is the 96watt powerquad. I was wondering if I could keep any small acros or motis in the aquarium? Thanks for any help or suggestions.
Thanks Clarki for the shot. I got three frags of different kinds of Agro coming my way later this week. I wish I could post a pic of them, but every time I try it tells me that my photos need to be smaller than 500x500, but I am not sure what that means. If you could help with that question I would be greatful.

I disagree, doesn't look like it's loving that 48 watter. :nope:
my lfs has several acros that are growing like crazy in nanos with less than 48w..... 36w to be exact. so I say if you want to try acros in a nano than go for it. just remember that when you put a coral in a tank and your not 100% shure that your lighting can sustain the coral than you are just TRYING to keep the coral.
IMO you havent actually kept the coral until you have had it for at least a year.
I have been researching acros and and I have decided to try one in my 10 gal w/ 80w pc its just a matter of finding the right frag
I added three different Acro frags today. They are all around 1 inch long. I put them towards the surface and in spots with good water movement. I will try to post a pic of them later. I am having more trouble with the leather finger I added so far, it has wilted.

I find this hard to believe. Can you get a pic?

there might be some pics on -- I'll check later and see if I can find some and post them here

I'd like to see a pic, I know brooklynn johnny grew some in his 10g. nano but he is not an average hobbiest. Also how much growth does ''growing like crazy me'' its kinda of a vague statement. Also can you give us some growth shots so we know they didn't just through a acro colony in there 2 days ago and tell us it started as a frag.
I hope yall are not flamming Clarkii for answering a question I asked. I will take some pics of my frag I recieved and post pics of it either growing, thriving, or dying (in which case I will give it back).

No flaming at all just discussing the health and requirements of acros.
The only reason I got the frag is because of my LFS. The good LFS. This guy does know what he is talking about- He has a 220 SPS tank himself. He know what setup I have and the lighting. I told him.
He said if it was within a few inches of the surface it would be ok. It is within a couple of inches of the surface.
To me it looked like it was doing ok. It has good polyp extension. The color is just as bright as it was when I got it.
I guess I was wrong
i think it looks great. post some of those other pictures you have of it on your new nano tank thread. those are better and really show the cream and blue colors
