Acrylic tank question

Who has a large acrylic tank and wish it was glass? I'm looking into buying a 180 gallon tank and see a company that will make the kind I'm looking for. It's acrylic. Not sure if I want that. What are the cons of acrylic? I know they scratch, how do you prevent that? Info please.

I think it is impossible for them not to scratch from normal use.....even from some of the critters.

I have a new 120 gallon acrylic tank. I love the look and clarity. The curved corners make a nice show piece and it fits our contemporary living room. It's more like a piece of art than a fish tank.
Pros are lighter, clearer, a better insulator, easier to drill and the scratches can be repaired.
With that, they do scratch very easily. I new that when I decided to but one and figured that I would be very careful with cleaning ect, I have still managed to scratch it. Also, some of the more aggresive fish like puffers can scratch it with their beaks. Although the scratches can be removed it's very time consuming.
Good Luck.
