I build an above tank Fuge for my 45 gallon tank, and i replaced the bottem of a 20 gallon tank with acrylic, and the silicone seems to be leaking so my question is: does silicone adhear to acrylic well or do i just need to give it another shot?

No, it doesn't. You can't really count on silicon to form a watertight seal between glass and acrylic. It's usually okay for baffles as small leaks between compartments with baffles are okay.
There is really not any reliable way to do this... bond an acrylic bottom to a glass tank... your only chance IMO is to use a cement called Marine Goop. It will bond well to both, but for a 20g tank, you'll need a whole lot of it... like a bunch of tubes.

Cool. That may work.
If I were you get your hands on a small tube of the stuff, plus a small chunk of acrylic and glass, and test them before you try this. Just a thought, as I've never tried doing exactly this with it.
When/if you do decide to try this, you may need to get yourself a small thingy of plumbers putty, and roll it into tiny tubes to lay along the sides of each joint to build a "dam" to contain the cement. This stuff can get pretty runny.

I have an idea to fix that.. tell me how this sounds.
Build a stand that holds the tank at a 45 degree angle that way it settles into a side without running. i know i would have to do it one side at a time but IMO it would be worth it.
