Actinic Bulb Q

Whats the difference between a coralife 20K bulb and a coralife actinic blue bulb? I thought 20K was actinic?

Although the 20k bulb has alot of blue in it,it is not a trye actinic bulb.An actinic is ALL BLUE.There is a drastic diference.

Cool learn something new everyday. Is there an exact Kelvin rating for actinic then?

I beleive its between 7100-8000k.

It can't be that low can it? As you go lower on the spectrum it gets white/yellow. As you go higher to say 10K its a white/blue and as you go higher its more total blue like at 20k. So I would think the true actinic would have to be higher then 20K?

Actinic is MUCH higher than that...Not sure exactly,but it's more than 20,000k.
