add some things

Hi,
I currently have a 55-gallon up and started for 2 months. I am just about to buy some live rock from someone that they already have in their tank that has been established for about 1 year. I have to pick it up and drive about 2 hrs home. I was wonder is this enough time to have a lot of die off to make it where my tank will spike?
I plan on putting it on wet newspaper. what else should i do?

I woulndnt think so unless it has a lot of growth on it. corals, dusters. I would use rubermaid tubes, and lots of wet, wet newspaper. wrap it good and keep it warm.
