Does anyone know if adding a BTA to a month old tank is deadly to the BTA my water has not been fluctuating since it cycled. Here is how the test came back from the lfs.
Temp-81
ammonia-0
nitrite-0
nitrate-20ppm
ph-8.1
gravity-1.022
I also have two clowns a sixline line wrasse and frags of zoos, torch coral and toadstool leather coral.

honestly none
the problem with anemones in a smaller tank is that if you are going to add anything else to the tank the anemone moves just a little it can take out the rest of the tank. the ones that wont move either get WAY to big like the carpets or LTA and BTA anemones to the stationary ones like the tube anemones that stay in one spot but spread out so big and have a nasty sting that it wil threaten everything in the tank.

you could maybe get a rock anemone- but it will outgrow that tank.
The only other thing out there would maybe be a red waratah anemone. They usually require a bit cooler temp, but they are non-photosynthetic and small bright red anemones.

I have a Green Buble Tip Anemone in my 10 gal. They do get big but I don't mind if it becomes my sole coral in there as long as my maroon clown is happy that is just fine with me.

How big is your maroon clown? Will it not get to big for the tank? I have two and ppl have told me they will get to big.

Yes Maroons do get big. She is about 3 1/2" long now, 2 would be way to small to have them in this size of tank. She is the "one and only" fish in the tank. No other fish are in there. The only other friends she has are 2 snails and one coral banded shrimp.
She never leaves this anemone only to feed and then she is right back in there. Not very active fish in my opinion.
I would never put any other fish in with her for that reason of space plus she will kill it for sure. She attacks my stick when I have to move rock etc. She even started attacking the tongs when I would feed the anemone so now what I do is put the food for the anemone in first, she grabs it and feeds the anemone. Soooooo neat to watch this, my husband thinks that is just way to cool. Then I feed her.
Great fish to have but they can be aggressive and two would definatley need a bigger tank.
