Adding a BTA to my reef

How exactly do I add an anemone to the tank? Should I wear latex gloves? Scoop him with a net? Something else?

Drip acclimate for about 2 hours. Then gently scoop him out with a net. Place him in an area that where he can plant his foot down in the rockwork where it is dark and he will stretch out to the light. Of coure, not really deep dark, just a nice ledge where he can attach in a darker area. If he doesn't like it he'll move.

Exactly how much do these guys move? Will they ever just stay put when they find a place that they like, or will he always wander around?

if they find a place they really like they'll stay. i have one that's entrenched since he settled there after days of moving around.

Mine moved, and moved, and moved for about 2 to 2 anda half weeks, but then he finally found a happy place. Right in front of a powerhead. Been there ever since.:)

Just making sure we are talking BTA's here. They generally will only move until they find a good spot. I just added a green bta yesterday and put it in an area of gentle flow where it could stick it's foot in a crevice and it hasn't moved. The tomato clown is very happy flopping around in there:D
