Adding a new fish

A few months ago I went to the marsh here in Wickford and caught a minow for my aquarium. Just out of curiosity I acclimated it to fresh water and it has been alive since March. I was wondering if I could acclimate it back to salt water and introduce it to my reef?
If that the heat of the reef is a problem the minow has been living in a heated tank.
It also acceps flakes, is about an inch long, and is very pretty.

Very possibly can be done. Not recemmended though. What has it been living with and have you ID it yet? It might harm things in your tank.

All I know is it is a one inch minow I caught in a marsh in March then I acclimated it to fresh water and it has been living in my fresh water "aggresive" tank witha jeweled chiclid green terror and a blue gourami and is still alive.

If it has survived in an aggressive tank then it is probably aggressive and aggressive fish aren't recemmended for reef.

I would tend to agree with b_ball,It is most likly an agressive/destructive fish. You should leave him where he is.Especially if he is doing as well as you say.Maybe when he gets a little older you will be able to ID it.(Remember,NEVER put anything into your SHOW TANK that you don't know about)

The "agressive" tank really isn't agressive, the fish are pansies and freak out when I enter the room. The minow has his own burrow in the cc but mainly hides in the roots of the floating plants.
He is a good algae cleaner I'll tell you that.
