I have no green Algae in my tank, to help feed my fox-face and tang, but also to help reduce the nitrates.
Should I add some, or will get get out of hand?
I have done some research and the macro-algae called Caulerpa sertularioides, may help.
Has anybody else done this.
Any comments.

If you place an algae that your fish will eat in your tank it will more then likely be consumed in no time at all and will do nothing to help with nitrates.
There are products that are made for feeding algae eater such as seaweed selects. My tang loves this stuff.
To help with nitrates many people including myself use a refugium / algae scrubber. This is a safe palce to grow the Caulerpa without the fish being able to get to it.
