adding clean up crew

:notsure: I just got my clean up crew delivered from saltwaterfish .com
my question is , do I acclimate them the same way I would fish? :notsure:

I would acclimate them the same way you would a fish. Just less time, you can drip acclimate them for 1-1 1/2 hrs.

Early, as seen on the inverts section of this site it is a 1+ hr acclimation time for inverts such as crabs/snails compared to a 3+ for fish. However I would not recommend any less than 1hr, and I usually do at least 1 1/2 hrs. I have done this about 10 times. But yes there salinity is a little higher, I keep mine 1.025-1.026 as natural seawater is.

I guess it depends on the salinity difference between place of purchase and your DT.
You would know, I haven't acclimated anything yet.

Though it would never hurt to do longer better safe than sorry.

when i got my crew from swf, they instruxted if the bag had water, drip acclimate, if the bag didnt have water, temp float for 30 and then drop in. I dripped for about an hour or so.
