Adding Greenex..

Hey,
i have a 92 reef, and my blue tang seems to have about 5 white spots which is either ich or parasites, and i have something called greenex which cures that. I was wondering if i should add it overnight, and the problem is... i will have to cure him in my display. Greenex is invert and coral safe, but should i add a medication with a tank of healthy fish but one sick fish?
Thanks,
Adam

I had a bad experience using that stuff in a reef. After useing that a couple of days later most of my inverts died.
To top it off it did nothing to help the fish with ich.

If you Pee in your tank you would have a better chance of curing the Ick than using GreenEx. That stuff not only does not work, it is CRAP. Use a QT tank and start Hypo

it killed my starfish and didn't help the fish, only delay the growth of the ICH at most.

These guys are harsh on greenex. I used it a couple weeks ago. It did not turn my silicon green. After 3 treatments I did have a dead crab. I don't think he was doing particularly well before that. My anemones are ok accept they tried to get out through the canister filter inlet. Not good. If you have to treat in the tank it's something to try. I wouldn't count on it curing ich. I'm still waiting to see if it comes back.
