Adding Live Rock to an Established Aquarium

I have a FOWLER that has been up and running since September. I purchased around 30 lbs of LR for my 30 gal, but it looks like I could use some more do to the addition of fish and critters. Is it possible to add LR once the aquarium is established?

You tank is not yet estabished. It takes about a year for it to be fully established. But to your question, yes, you can add more live rock, but make sure it is cured, so that you won't experiance any die-off in the tank.

An established tank is not truly measured by time. It does take quite a bit of time, but can be 6 months, can be a year. What makes an established tank is good biological filtration and stable conditions.
As for the live rock, in a 30 gallon tank, I would cure the rock in a bucket or bin beofre you put it in the tank. All you need is a heater, powerhead and then test the water. Leave it in there until there is absolutly no ammonia or nitrites left.

Agree jedininja, but you see reading is a skill. " it takes about a year", means that it will take a while for it to develop that bio-system. If I was to say that in a year your tank will be established, than you can make your misguided and rude correction for a sake of correcting someone. I will bet anything that a tank set up in Sept. is not yet established.
