Adding Live Rock

I am going to be starting up a 150g FOWLR. I currently don't have any rock. Can I cycle the tank and add the rock later? How much rock should I use and how much can safely be added at one time after the cycle? The tank will have 200# of sand (Approx. 3"). How much LS should I take out of my reef tank to seed the new tank?

1. yes you can add rock later.
2. 1 to 2 lbs of rock is what most people go buy. Some rock is denser than others.
3. If it is cycled already you can add as much at one time as you want. Store bought rock that cycled is more expensive. You can cycle it in another tank or plastic can. Or you can just go out and buy it now and cycle it with your tank. I bought 30lbs when I set up my 55 gal. Then I made another 35/40 lbs. after and put it in.
4. The more ls you seed it with the faster it will fill up with critters. That depends on you. My .02 I would go with 4"/5" DSB.
Sounds like it'll be a nice tank, good luck. :D :D
