Adding LR while tank is cycling?

I'm currently cycling my 55 gal. tank, I have 0 ammonia, nitrites are sky high and I think the trates are starting to build as well. My question is this: If I added some Live rock at this point...would it send me back to the beginning of the cycle? or would I already have enough of the good bacteria built up to convert any ammonia spike quickly? I do have two little green chromis in there...What do you think? Better to add it now than later, huh? Thanks for your input!! Also, I might have to add it a bit at a time...will this deter the cycle process at all? Thanks!

Adding it a bit at a time is what I did.I would suggest about 5or6lbs a week.I never added more than 10lbs at a time.Unless it is well cured,Then you can add as much as you want...But yes,,,You can/should start adding it now...
