Adding LR

I have a 55 gallon tank it has been up and running for about 1 year. I was thinking of adding more LR to the tank I have about 120lbs in there now. I really does not look like a lot. I have the LR placed the length of the tank and it is more than half way up the tank.
My question is:
I it a good idea or not to add cured LR to a tank that has been running for a year. Will do anything to my levels in the tank?

As long as your 100% sure is cured. If your gettin from your LFS and its out of a tank for a few minutes then you should be ok. If your ordering online then its not cured and you have to cure it before adding to your tank. IMHO i dont trust anyone. I would still throw it in a bucket with a powerhead and saltwater and cure it anyway just to be sure.
