adding more sand?!

hi guys im not exactly sure where to post this but i currently have about ~40lbs of sand in my 75gal, and its a really think layer, so i want to add a few more pounds.
i bought a 15lb bag of aragonite sand, whats the best way to add this to my existing setup? the tnak has been up for ~8mos

Provided the sand is cured you can add it directly to the tank.
Turn off all of your pumps. Get a large new clean pvc pipe and a new clean funnel. Stick one end of the pipe down to your sand and slowly pour sand into the funnel and down the pipe.

If it's not cured though(dry sand), you will have to do it slowly. Add about a cup of sand every couple days.
