Adding sand

Hey, I just added my water yesterday, everthing thing is going good now. Me and my dad bought a 150 lbs of SD sand, and we soaked it for like 4 days, rinsed it twice, and we put a cup of it in there and it hasnt cleared up completely. Then we went to a lfs, the guy said to put in the SD sand then put in a bag of LS (which we did buy) to help it settle faster. Should we do that or rinse the sand again? And should we put the ls in first or last or mix it?

I would just pour it in.The southdown first,then after it settles,put the live sand on top. The southdown may take a few days to settle,but be patient,it will.You may need a micron,or polishing filter to help clear the water...

Should I put it all in at once or in smaller portions?

Also, should I wait for the sand to settle before adding a few damsels?
