Adding Sand???

I have a 55gal saltwater aquarium. I have had it up and running for 3.5 years. Is it ok to ad substrate sand? I have lost some over the years from cleaning and seems to be low. If so what is the best to use to not diisrupt biological cycle?

what kind of sand are you going to add and how much

IMO add dry sand (aragonite). Rinse well before adding. Add to 1/4 the sand bed area on top of old sand. Let it sit a week. Move on to another 1/4, let it sit again. Etc. until finished.

Also use a piece of PVC pipe, pour the sand through the pvc to keep the sand from agitating as much as possible
