Adding Sand

When adding sand to a new tank.. do you add the sand first to teh tank.. then the saltwater? Or do you mix it first with saltwater.. then pour it in the tank? Will it get muddy?
I ordered Oolitic Sand. thanks everyone

I filled the tank with just a bit of water. Then I put the sand in and then filled it the rest of the way up with water. It wasn't cloudy for very long.
This was taken 1 hour after my sand and the rest of my water was poured in.

Is it live sand? If so, then you will want to premix the saltwater, add some of the water to the tank, add the sand, and then top off with rest of water. If its just plain old dry sand...add the sand, fill tank with freshwater, and then add proper amount of salt and fire 'er up.
