Additional Information for Photo Contest, Item Name

We are so pleased everyone is participating in the Saltwaterfish.com Photo Contest. Due to the high volume of threads and photos entered we need the item's name listed in your post as you would see it on the website. We will enter the photos into the contest by searching the threads for the item we will be creating a poll for. For example, Monday is the Nudibranch poll. We will search the threads in this forum for the keyword "Nudibranch" and we certainly do not want to leave anyone out.

the easiest way to to just hit the edit button and add the names into the post and this will bring it up in a search.

Thanks Renogaw, I have logged the photo entries as of yesterday, 11/1 so there is not need to repost. This request is for any photos entered as of today on.

If my original post has multiple species under one location (but each picture has a name and scientific name with it) will it still show up with the search? Are you all searching for titles only or are you going to do a search that will show anything under the thread as well???

We will search the entire post. If for any reason your entry is left out let us know as soon as possible and we will be sure to include your photo.

Would it be simpler if you posted the thread for the voting of the species, let everyone that wants to be considered post their photo in it and then begin voting? Giving it like 2 days per entry to get them listed? That would make it easier on us also, as then we wouldnt have to wade through all the threads in order to vote. It seems easier for all that way. And limit the thread to voting only , no posting comments. I think that sometimes the comments that are made on them influence others votes.

what WUD suggests is probably THE best way of doing it. it also prevents the "you didn't link my pic" or the late entries.
