Additives????????

Are additive's a must in a reef tank? I am looking into starting a 29 gallon reef tank, and would like to know how to feed corals/inverts. Are there any good post on here that would lead me in the right direction? I am new to corals so any info will help.
I know that all corals need calcium. But I also have read that they need iodine and other trace elements. Does this stuff accure naturally in the tank? Please let me know.
Thanks

The only things I would dose are calcium and alkalinity by a two-part solution like B-Ionic. Pretty much everything else is in your salt and will be replenished from regular waterchanges.
As a general rule; don't add anything you don't test for. Certain things can be deadly or have bad effects if they're overdosed.
