Adult Emperor Angel

As many know, I bought an adult emperor 3 weeks ago. He's been in a 30g Q tank. He had a growth on lower lip which has gone away. I'm beginning to worry about a lession on his lower fin. It's white and I just noticed that it has 2 very small translucent bubbles growing out from it. This lession actually developed after he got into the tank. I thought it was an extension of what he had on his lip which has now gone away but it's now been around for 2 weeks and it does not seem to be getting better. He's eating well(brine and mysis soaked in selcon), swimming normally and is in otherwise good condition and health. Would appreciate advices on what it could be and how to treat. I'm not usually a fan of treating unless absolutely necessary but I'm a bit concerned that it is not getting better.
Thanks.

Beth- no meds yet. Hoping to avoid.
JWT- I've suspected lympho but growth is not really cauliflower like. I suppose if translucent bubbles turn white that w/b close enough. I suspect that it is viral...just want to make sure. From what I know most viruses are not contagious but I still want to keep him in the Q tank for a bit longer. Your thoughts?
He is also eating nori, angel formula and chopped clams. He eats really well.
All opinions welcomed.

thanks. suggested hypo level? I'll take it down from about 1.018 slowly. Is 1.008 ok. I remember Terry's articles and I believe this is what he recommended.
