Okay, so the title was a disclaimer... I don't exactly mean this the way it is going to come out... but I have a pair of 69ing hermit crabs. What is this? Why is this happening? Should I separate them?

haha mine did the same thing for like a whole day. then broke apart and started doing their normal cleanups again ha. I thought they were mating too

Yeah I don't know about mating.. just fooling around maybe.

I googled it and I could not find anything out there about any peculiar crab positions, sexual or not....
Did you ever end up with baby crabs Tonynader?

Well that's cute.
Do you have extra shells in your aquarium for the hermits? They will kill each other to get a larger shell.

They are likely fighting, or cleaning, each other, but not mating. Otherwise, all the other crabs would be up front watching

haha, i would just leave them be. my tank is a free love zone.
but its up to you. they might kill eachother.
