I currently have a 150 gal. dual overflow tank that is only using one of the overflows. Left overflow has the water going to the wet/dry filter, and the return comes back up through the right one. Someone else set it up like this. I could drill one more hole in each overflow, and make both work. The tank is already set up with just water. I still have access to the bottom of the tank, and could easily drill a hole in each one. The question is would it be worth it to do this for a FOWLR tank? Right now the return side overflow chamber just fills up with water. Is there a lot more benifit to having both running?
