advice of filters

i am going to be purchasing a filter for my 50g tank, and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion. i might also be getting a 65 or 70g tank and what filter should i get for that.

Hello, well it depends on what you are going to keep. If it is going to be a reef tank, no mechanical filtration is needed. If it is going to be a fish only, I have used the marineland magnum canister filter. It has a nice powerhead and the canister is large for media.
