I posted these questions previously, but I didn't get much response. Anyone who can give there two cents, I would appreciate it.
I have a 37gal tall with 45lbs of live rock, 2-3" of sand, lots of cleaners, shrimps, a brain coral, star pollip and an anemone.
I am want to switch from an Eclipse to someting that will work. I am planning to go with an Emporer 400, Prizm skimmer, 3-24" VHO's totaling 225W.
What do you think? Good, bad or suggestions.

jond; my belief on this is that I use only Emperor 400's and 280's on all my tanks including my 58 reef. I LOVE those filters and my reef has done quite well since last May with just a 400 on it. Others will say you need this and that but as I always say simple is better. In the past I tried eheims and fluvals and they were a pain (I hear the groans out there as I write this). Again this is my opinion but I can't give you a negative on these filters they just work and do it well.

My sister has a 75gal. w/ two 400's and there tank is beautiful. The LFS I use also has alot of good experience with them. I am sold on the filter, I would like more input into the lights if anyone has any.
Thanks
